Uh oh
I have yet to participate in this meme stuff, but it looks like Jeff has passed one to me. Hmm. 5 guilty pleasures...

1) Burnout 3. I bought a GameCube with the intention to play only "artsy" games like Legend of Zelda Wind Waker, but when I bought a copy of Burnout for cheap, I got hooked on crashing cars and blowing stuff up. Sigh. Aside from Shadow of the Colossus, this is pretty much the only game I play on my PS2.

2) Checking box office gross tallies. I have no idea why it should concern me, but I was checking to see how King Kong was doing as often as I checked my email.

3) Starship Troopers. My love for this movie is not a secret. My friends even bought me a poster of it for my birthday, and I nearly cried tears of joy. Where else can you watch googly-eyed space cadets get slaughtered mercilessly by giant bugs while still managing to pull off some pretty effective WW2 propaganda satire? Friggin' sweet.

4) Buying cool toys for work (wacom tablets, etc.), just so I can write them off on my taxes. Books too.

5) Checking my site stats. For a long while I stopped caring, but I can't stop looking at them nowadays.

Hey hey, Burnout 3 ROCKS. It's one of the few games that's great to play AND watch since it's so instantly gratifying at every single second. That shitty pop-punk soundtrack only makes it better!

Yeah, and Striker gets so aggravating you want to crash those cars even harder. I love that game.

Didja play Killer 7 yet on your 'Cube? Its a bit violent, but definetly artsy. Artsy in a gory kinda way, that is.

Nope, I haven't heard of it. I'll look into this. As long as I can get it used or it's a Player's Choice game I'll give it a chance. :)

Oh yeah, I'm sort of addicted to checking my website stats as well...not so much the actual numbers that fascinate me so much as things like what countries are looking at my site and wondering, "What do people in Slovenia think about my work...?" Or looking at who's linking me or what keywords people are searching for that come across my site...stuff like that.

When STARSHIP TROOPERS first came out, a screenwriter friend of mine gave me the toy version of one of the giant bugs. We shared the kinship of loving a movie everyone else hated.

A few years later, I saw this same toy in -- wait for it -- THE DESIGN TRI-ENNIAL AT THE WHITNEY MUSEUM OF ART.

VIDI-f***ing-CATION.

Whoa. Yeah, the tanker bugs were really sweet. I did a very intricate drawing of the bugs from that film... I should scan it and put it on my site sometime...

What about the possibility of pulling out of Iraq, letting Iran invade and lose resources fighting their own kind,
